Phil’s “Beacon” series emerges as a 3d form, running off his continual series of Iceberg creations, as a meditation on solitude—an iceberg adrift.
The fractured forms of cast epoxy resin echo the vast, isolating landscapes of frozen seas, where each iceberg, though seemingly isolated, is shaped by the same tides, currents, and unseen forces beneath the surface….the paradox of loneliness: an experience that feels singular yet is universally shared. Even in estrangement, we remain tethered— no one is truly alone in their solitude.
